What does it mean when you have a lump on your throat?

there's a lump right next to my uvula, it's a very large lump with what seems to be a tiny slit in the middle of it, now every time I eat something, I get alote of pain in my throat, the same thing also happens when i just swallow, eating solids feels like a knife is scraping through my throat. If someone could please explain this to me I would appreciate it very much.
