The sound and the fury book question?

I'm in the Quentin section,page 93 to be exact and I'm confused as to who's talking? I know Quentin is remembering but who's the person saying "Harvard.Quentin this is Herbert.my Harvard boy." the father? And also what is Quentin remembering I don't really understand this page it seems like a lot of memories rolled together one after the other to me.. v.v
