Auburn hair color to light brown?

so i naturally have medium brown hair. about a month ago i dyed it medium auburn with Clairol Natural Instincts raspberry color creme. since ive been in the sun and its only a semi permanent dye the color has fade to like a reddish, orangish, brownish color with my dark brown roots growing in. if i use a light brown semi-permanent dye how will it turn out?
